I was always a “river guy.” Early on, I understood the importance of rivers as the crux of any civilization. The growing misuse of water resources became a concern as I was growing up, which is why I wanted to engage with a cause close to my heart and through which I could make a difference

Digital Literacy: A window to a new world

Literacy is a valuable tool for the development of a person, and digital literacy plays an increasingly significant role in overall literacy. However, for some, understanding even the basics of computer technology is an elusive task. Almost 70 percent of India’s population resides in rural areas, so the critical components of their development must include education and literacy training. Read More . . . 


Integrated Village Development project initiated 
Sehgal Foundation recently launched an Integrated Village Development project titled Umeed (hope) supported by the Housing Development financial Corporation (HDFC). The project will be carried out in six villages of Nuh district and three villages of Rewari district in Haryana.

Village committees to maintain water infrastructure
Community takes over the eleven check dams constructed under the Jaldhara (stream of water) project, supported by Coca-Cola Foundation in four villages of Karauli district, Rajasthan. Other project interventions include solar pumps and plantation. Read More . . .
