Optimizing Holistic Patient Outcomes in Advanced Gastric/GEJ Cancer Across the Sequence of Therapy
Thursday 21 June 2018 | 13:25 – 14:55
Room 111-112 | CCIB Barcelona
Invitation from the Symposium Chair
Dear Colleagues,

It is my pleasure to invite you to the Lilly-sponsored satellite symposium, "Optimizing Holistic Patient Outcomes in Advanced Gastric/GEJ Cancer Across the Sequence of Therapy" taking place on Thursday 21 June, at the World Congress on Gastrointestinal Cancer 2018, in Barcelona, Spain.

The treatment landscape and management of advanced gastric and GEJ cancer are continually evolving. Many recent advances including better application of histological and molecular profiling as well as the development of targeted treatments including anti-angiogenic and immuno-oncologic agents are changing how we care for our patients.

During this interactive educational session, our expert faculty will discuss the appropriate use, benefits and optimal sequencing of different therapeutic approaches to maximize patient outcomes. They will provide guidance on the role and importance of nutrition for maximizing and maintaining fitness and performance status along with a multidisciplinary approach for managing patients with gastric and GEJ cancer.

The faculty will also share their knowledge and best practices using two illustrative case-based scenarios. Finally they will examine from global perspectives the changing treatment paradigm in gastric and GEJ cancer. Throughout the symposium attendees will be invited to participate by voting, asking questions and sharing views and experiences on key topics via an interactive online forum.

We hope this session will be both stimulating and educational, and that it enhances learning to assist in making treatment decisions in daily clinical practices.

Yours sincerely
