Dear Guest

ENC was thrilled to receive a national award last night for Best Practice for Primary Research at the EDNZ Awards. Our role in the business community is about investigating opportunities for businesses to prosper and grow. Our conversations with Culverden business owners led us to develop a connector role to create a sense of belonging and engage newcomers/workers into the community with an aim to retain and attract staff. Here is a one minute video outlining our story.

Guy Graham commences at ENC on the 23rd of October to continue our engagement with businesses and Miles Dalton will continue in business investment/attraction which is highlighted in this newsletter. We are a small but dynamic and agile team at ENC leading support, investment and promotion of our region. We will sadly miss David Viles and his huge contribution to the establishment and ongoing advice he provided the board and the team at ENC.

Kind regards,

Heather Warwick, CEO

It is with sadness that ENC acknowledges the recent passing of David Viles. David started working at ENC in 2004 as Executive Director and continued on as a part-time consultant. David's contribution to the North Canterbury region has been outstanding, through leadership positions in a number of organisations. The ENC team remember David as one of life's gentlemen, a leader and an educator with a generous spirit and a wonderful sense of humour.
