In our latest newsletter, we explore whether the world is ready for CCS with the new reports and an upcoming webinar. 


We are also busy preparing for the UNFCCC’s 24th Conference of the Parties in Katowice, Poland, where we will be launching our flagship publication “The Global Status of CCS: 2018”. With the launch of “The Global Status of CCS: 2018,” we are also unveiling a plethora of new ambassadors, so stay tuned, as the countdown is truly on! 


And last, but not least, the Institute is teaming up with the UK Government to organise an international global conference on November 29 in Edinburgh. This is part of the “Accelerating CCUS Globally Conference incorporating a number of invitation only CCUS events following the IEA-UK Government CCUS Summit held the day before.

In October, the IPCC released their highly anticipated "Global Warming of 1.5°C" report. 


The report reinforced that CCS is essential to achieving a 1.5 degree scenario. Simply put, Climate change is a fight that must be won. There are no “ifs” or “buts”.

Latest Intergovernmental IPCC findings released recently are further confirmation CCS is essential to mitigating climate change.
