Welcome to our August newsletter and what a key one this is for the carbon capture and storage (CCS) community, as there are now 18 large-scale CCS projects globally, with Jilin CCS being the latest announcement. Several of the events at Arendalsuka in Norway focused on CCS, featuring key stakeholders from industry, academia and political representatives from the Norwegian Government and Parliament, with the Institute’s member, Gassnova, hosting a CCS breakfast to recognise the work of CCS Ambassadors.

CHINA “SETS THE PACE”

CALL FOR BSP NOMINATIONS


The Board Selection Panel (‘BSP’) currently has two Elected Member vacancies and as a result the Institute has called for nominations to the BSP. 


The role of the BSP is to nominate candidates for appointment as Directors to serve on the governing Board of the Global CCS Institute. The BSP meets at the request of the Board when a vacancy has been determined. Members are requested to consider possible candidates to fill the two vacancies.
