- The North Canterbury Citizens' Advice Bureau is hosting an Employment Expo on Sunday, April 8th. The expo is aimed at assisting new migrants who may be seeking work themselves or who have a partner or family member looking for work. Speakers on employment options, opportunities and issues. Light refreshments will be served. 1.30pm - 3.30pm at MainPower Oval, corner of East Belt and Coldstream Road, Rangiora.
- The Waimakariri District Council is proposing to build a multi-use sports facility of approximately 6,000 sq metres and 4 indoor courts to meet current and future needs for a broad range of indoor sports and recreation pursuits. The proposed facility would be located on land that the Council owns at Coldstream Road in Rangiora and open in 2020. It would be debt funded and repaid through a rate of approximately $91 per property per year from 2021. As businesses and residents this facility will impact on you and it is well worth taking the time to consider its merits.
