The first day for us at Yankee Dental was a busy one not only at the booth, but also in the classroom. NDPL Twitter SciParty


SciParty is a weekly scientific twitter chat every Friday (1-2 PM EST) where scientists from varying fields are invited to chat with the SciParty followers about his/her research.On January 19th, NDPL Cell Biologist Matthew Wilgo had a great time hosting the NDPL SciParty! Much ground was covered, including a discussion of the different types of stem cells, the discovery of dental pulp stem cells, and how they are processed in the NDPL laboratory. Stem cells could reduce the need for opioids


Chronic lower back pain is one of the most common reasons people seek medical attention. Studies indicate that 8 out of 10 Americans will experience low back pain during their lives. Annually, the costs associated with chronic low back pain tops $100M. including lost wages and productivity. Opioid painkillers are a standard treatment for chronic pain conditions, but they carry the significant risk of addiction.
