Farewell 2017 and Welcome to 2018

Dear ,

Thank you once again for your support in 2017, and helping us to celebrate that wonderful milestone of 30 years work in Australia. The pinnacle of 2017 was hosting the President of Ireland Michael D. Higgins and his wife Sabina in October when the President recognised and thanked our supporters for the important work we are doing,

commenting “The Ireland Funds is a powerful force for good!”

2017 also saw us have our most successful Sydney Garden Party and Melbourne lunch ever, enabling us to make a grant round of $416,000 for the financial year to June 2017. With your help we want to make 2018 even better.

There are some very exciting Irish events happening across the country this year, including the Irish Rugby Union tour against the QANTAS Wallabies in June playing for the “Lansdowne Cup” and the Sydney Irish Festival in November, so 2018 is shaping up to be an eventful year for the Irish community in Australia.

We ourselves have some interesting events planned and we would love to welcome you to some of them so please make sure to add these dates below to your calendar – for more information or to book your tickets, please see upcoming Events or contact Jennifer.

With the end of the financial year fast approaching, we would be grateful for your ongoing support by continuing your donation to one of our giving programmes including the Governor, Associate, Benefactor and Young Leader programmes, all of which are tax deductible. For details click the donate button below, there you could also make a one off donation if desired.

I know words are not enough but we thank you most sincerely on behalf of the Ireland Funds and more importantly our grant recipients.

Executive Director
